The village government is responsible for police
and fire protection, water and sewer, maintenance of roads and
parks, refuse collection, zoning, building standards/inspection
and recreation.
Cuba Village policy-making body is the Board of
Trustees. The Mayor and four board members are elected for two-year
terms. They meet at the Village Hall at 7:00 p.m. on the second
Monday of each month. Meetings are open to the public (except
for executive sessions).
The Village implements the policies of the Board
of Trustees and is in charge of the day-to-day operation of the
village.
The Village Clerk/Treasurer handles a variety
of administrative tasks including: custody of books and records,
responsibility for minutes, local legislation, order to pay claims,
transmitting funds, notice of defect, oath of office, accounting,
bank deposits, signing of checks, and payments and annual financial
statements.
