Part of Section 170-4 of the Code of Cuba Village, requirements
for curbside placements collections schedule:
All residents using the Village Service shall have such
material - - ON THE DAY OF COLLECTION ONLY - - at curbside by
7:00 a.m. and all places of business shall have such material at rear of building,
if possible, to be collected by 9:00 a.m. The maximum weight of any
single item left for collection, except bulk items, including the weight
of the container, shall be fifty (50) pounds.
Allegany County Law requires that all refuse and trash
be placed in "CLEAR" plastic bags. The maximum weight of any
single item including weight of container (not bulk items) shall not
be more than 50 pounds for refuse & recycling. Residential customers
will have their refuse collected on Thursday of each week. REFUSE/RECYCLING
PICKUP SUBJECT TO CHANGE WHEN A HOLIDAY FALLS ON A THURSDAY - - NOTICE
WILL BE PUT IN THE LOCAL PAPERS AND POSTED AT THE VILLAGE HALL. Business
District will be collected on Mondays and Thursdays, except Labor Day
and Memorial Day. These weeks there will be no Monday collection. White
goods or bulk items such as household appliances and furniture will
be collected the first Thursday of each month, except on Holidays, then collection will be on the Wednesday prior.
Brush branches will be collected on the
first Monday of each month unless on a Holiday, then Tuesday following.
Recycling for both residential and business customers will be the SECOND
(2ND) AND FOURTH (4TH) THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH. Cardboard should be broken
down and either tied in bundles, placed in paper bags or cardboard boxes.
